Chair, Sydney High School Foundation
Chris Brown (Life Member of the OBU, Class of 1967) is a senior partner at Brown Wright Stein, Lawyers and has practised in the areas of corporate, corporate governance, duties of directors and officers of corporations, competition and consumer, intellectual property, commercial and taxation law since 1972. He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from Sydney University, is a Chartered Tax Advisor, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
Since 1987, he has been a non-executive director, chairman or a member of audit, risk, remuneration, nomination and IT governance committees of listed public companies, and a number of unlisted enterprises. In 1989, he was a founder of, and remains current Chairman of Windgap Foundation Limited, a charity and public benevolent institution with DGR status, which provides services to people with intellectual disability in the Eastern Suburbs/South Sydney area of Sydney. In 2013 he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the community, particularly to people with disability.
Principal, Sydney Boys High
Dr Kim Jaggar OAM has been the Principal of Sydney Boys High School since January 2000. He was previously Principal at Sefton High School (1995-1999), and served as Deputy Principal at Birrong Girls (1994) and at Fairfield High School (1990-1993). Prior to that, he was Head Teacher English at Homebush Boys and Punchbowl Boys and he taught English and History at Wilkins High and Bonnyrigg High. Dr Jaggar holds a Doctor of Education degree from UNSW, along with a Master of Educational Administration and Certificate of School Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Education and Master of Arts from the University of Sydney.
Kim serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the School of Electrical Engineering & Telecommunication at UNSW, and on the board of the Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundation. He is Honorary Treasurer for the Sydney High School Sailing Association.
In his spare time Kim is a blue water yachtsman. He was a member of the crew that has held the World Speed Sailing Council record for the fastest non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of Australia by a monohull yacht since 2003. He has competed in 33 Sydney to Hobart Yacht races, winning in division in IOR, IMS and PHS rating categories. He has competed in yacht races as an owner, skipper, watch captain and navigator and sailed more than 50,000 nautical miles.
Secretary, Sydney High School Foundation
John Taylor (OBU Representative and Old Boy, Class of 1967) is an engineer by profession. He brings years of executive corporate experience to the Board having started and successfully grown on two occasions International project management consulting businesses. John also has had extensive experience in the Public Sector having been an inaugural Board member of NSW Health Infrastructure and presently a member of the Advisory Council for NSW School Infrastructure.
OBU President, Director, Sydney High School Foundation Limited
Jacob Ezrakhovich (OBU President and Old Boy, Class of 2003) is a strategy and operations leader, currently at global property firm Lendlease. Jacob partners with the business to provide strategy, technology and advisory services to help advance Customer Experience, ESG and Operational outcomes with the aim of creating better places for customers and the community.
Jacob was previously a management consultant focusing on customer strategy, spending over 10 years driving significant growth, profitability and operational excellence within private sector and government organisations. Prior to this he was a credit analyst at global credit ratings agency Moodys. Outside of work, Jacob is a volunteer Surf Lifesaver and trainer at Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club, enjoys ocean swimming all year round, surf skiing and live music.
P&C President, Director, Sydney High School Foundation Limited
Tania Kirkland (P&C President 2024-2025, Sydney Girls High School Old Girl (1993), and parent of current and ex-students of SBHS and SGHS) is an accomplished professional with the NSW Department of Education. After nine years as a teacher, she currently leads the data and policy function at the Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation (CESE), where she oversees data quality across the department and contributes to data analysis, policy development, and funding decisions. Tania brings extensive project management expertise, particularly in IT and data management. She has over 12 years of experience in system development and data analysis, having held the roles of Software Engineer and Senior Data Analyst at Qantas. Tania holds a Bachelor of Business in Information Technology and a Master of Education in Gifted Education from the University of NSW, along with a Master of Primary Teaching from Charles Sturt University.
As a committed volunteer and community leader, Tania dedicates her weekends to the Bill Crews Foundation and has maintained a long-standing involvement in school communities through active participation in P&C Associations at both primary and secondary levels. She has held various roles, including Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Treasurer and Canteen President, and has served as President of the P&C at SBHS since 2024. She has also played an integral part in coordinating numerous P&C events and supporting various fundraising initiatives.
Tania supports the next generation of professionals as an alumni mentor for the Co-Op Scholarship Program at the University of NSW, where she provides guidance to students navigating their university studies, industry placements, and early career pathways.
Director, Sydney High School Foundation Limited
Andrew Chan (P&C Representative, Old Boy, Class of 1998, and parent of a current student) is a passionate Financial Planner with solid family values. He brings decades of experience in Strategy and Planning from his career spanning Investment Banking and Financial Planning to the Board and a willingness to direct this energy for the School’s Rowing and Rugby programs. Andrew also founded boutique Financial Planning firm Phoenix Private Wealth Management in 2013 – providing quality strategic holistic advice to help his clients achieve their life and financial goals as a steward for their financial strategy and investments.
Director, Sydney High School Foundation Limited
Mark Livingston (P&C Representative and Old Boy, Class of 1969) is a Commercial Insurance Broker with many national clients and Masters degrees in Law and Business Administration.
During his time at High, Mark participated in Athletics, Rowing and Rugby, and he represented the School, and Australia, in Weightlifting. Mark has been a supporter of school committees for over thirty years and is currently a Director of the High Club. He is a past President of the OBU and was proud to be a Rowing Coach during his sons’ years at SBHS, 2003-2008.
Outside of his involvement with the School, Mark is a Director of the Australian Financial Services Association, the AIOFP and other private companies.
